James Pickles
Managing Director
Having held several strategic leadership roles over the past decade, James joined the Westek business as Managing Director in 2022 with a vision to drive a growth and development strategy to fundamentally create an amazing organisation to all stakeholders. Taking his experience from various industry sectors including Automotive, Oil and Gas as well as Defence, Westek is evolving holistically through a ‘values driven’ approach that not only engages on business activities but also one that embeds the business with the wider community through charitable and voluntary work. Outside of work James likes to spend time with his young family and enjoy various fitness activities.

Marianne Magennis
Head of Finance
As Westek’s Finance Manager, Marianne manages the accounting, financial reporting, and financial analysis for the business. Marianne has over 15-years’ finance and management accounting experience gained from a broad range of industries including Telecommunications, Civil Engineering, and the Retail sector. In her free time, she enjoys running, hiking, and reading.

Wendy Dorkin (Assoc. CIPD)
Head of HR
Joining Westek in November 2019, Wendy set up the HR Department for the business. She is responsible for the full employee lifecycle, and a strong advocate of employee wellbeing and personal development. Wendy is a Mentor for CIPD Steps Ahead, a Mental Health First Aider and a Menopause Champion. Outside of work, she is an avid music fan as well as enjoying reading and creative writing workshops.

Phil Hayward
Head of QHSE
Following a 24-year career as an aircraft technician in the army, Phil has spent over 15 years in quality engineering roles. He has developed a broad range of experience across a number of industries, expanding his skill set to include Environmental and H&S management. His focus is on achieving and maintaining certification while promoting continuous improvement to enhance the customer experience. Outside of work, Phil is a keen cyclist and gardener.

Pete Brundell
Head of Technical
Bringing over 20-years’ engineering and technical experience, Pete joined Westek in 2007 to lead the Customer Service and Technical Teams – embracing the new and emerging technology shift into COTS rugged systems and bringing a cutting-edge approach in System Integration with a strong customer focus. Pete believes in leading the team from the front, backed by a strong technical team, to ensure customer satisfaction. Pete also runs a semi-professional beekeeping business, circa 8 million bees around North Wiltshire, with a strong environmental focus.

Radek Rak
Head of Operations
Efficient, highly experienced and specialist in leading operations for over 12 years within electronic industry. Radek has achieved positive business results through effective implementation of lean initiatives, problem solving and process improvements. With his focus on KPI’s and people, he ensures the highest possible standards, whilst engaging the team to deliver quality solutions to our customers. In his free time Radek enjoys time with his family, DIY as well as restoring cars and keeping fit.
